Shrimp curry

A very unique recipe that is popular in south Asia is the shrimp curry that’s why I decided to search for some simple ingredients which are found in every house to create this delicious dish.

Ingredients:
- 500g of cleaned prawns
- 2 medium size onion
- 3 medium size tomatoes
- 1 clove of garlic
- 2 cups of water
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper (powder)
- 2 teaspoon of oregano (powder)
- 1 teaspoon of cumin (powder)
- 1 teaspoon of Turmeric (powder)
- 2 tablespoon of salt (you can add more)
- Whatever amount of parsley and coriander you desire
- 1 small packet of tomato paste
- 1 small fresh hot red chili (optional)
- 1.5 tablespoon butter
- 5 tablespoons of olive oil (you can add more)

Method:
First boil the prawns with one tablespoon of salt for 10 min, then peel the three tomatoes and cut them in to small cubes, take two tomatoes from the three, mix them in the mixer with one tablespoon of salt a cup of water and the tomato paste, then keep the mixture a side, after that grind the onion, mash the garlic, cut the parsley, coriander and the red chili in to a very small pieces.
Get a medium sized pot, melt the butter then stir it with olive oil, add the onion, stir fry it until it is golden, then add the rest of the tomatoes with the garlic then continue mixing, add the prawns in to the pot after straining it, adding the seasonings and mix well, after that add the parsley, coriander, hot red chili and tomato mixture you prepared previously, mix all together, finally add the two cups of water mix very well then cover, when the curry becomes thickened that means its ready.
